Connection Alert

Having more supervision over your system means less down-time in case of an error and easier maintenance. To have a system that send notifications in case of a predetermined event, use the Ozeki Alarm software. It is an easy to use and versatile system that can notify you through a chat service user. You will need to setup a new source of notifications to have a working alarm system. We provide every step you need to do that.

  1. Open the Alarm System App
  2. Add a New Source
  3. Choose Event Type
  4. Select Monitored Connection
  5. Activate the Connection Status Indicator
  6. Use the features of Ozeki Alarm System as you like

In this quick tutorial, you will learn how to set up Ozeki Alarm to receive connection alerts, ensuring you have better control over your system and reducing downtime in case of errors. Ozeki Alarm is a powerful and user-friendly software that can send notifications via a chat service. By the end of this guide, you will know how to configure Ozeki Alarm to monitor a specific connection and notify you of any issues.

To start managing your sources or routes, you need to open the Alarm System app. You can do that by searching for the icon on the desktop. You can see the icon you need to search for on Figure 1.

Now you need to add a new source to your alarm system. This way, every event occurred on the source will be sent to the Alarm System, so it can manage them and forward the chosen to the Chat user. You can see the button you need to click on Figure 2.

Now you need to choose which type of event should trigger the Alarm System, to send a notification. This time, you need to choose the connection alert one. It will notify you in case of lost connection. You can see all you options on Figure 3.

In this step, you need to select the connection you wish to monitor. In this case, please select the SMPP-client-1. You can see where to choose the connection on Figure 4.

Now you are finished with the setting up, the only step left is to turn on the Connection status indicator on the left side of the screen. On Figure 5, you can see which one to turn on.
